Hitman : Absolution adalah game yang sangat familiar di game Hitman Series. Di game ini, kalian akan di tugaskan untuk membunuh target dengan berbagai macam senjata yang bisa kalian pilih. Membunuh target haruslah sangat sempurna, mulai dengan menyamar, mengendap, membaur, dll. Semua dengan mengunakan teknik Stealth.
Di Hitman : Absolution kalian akan memerankan Character Agen 47 , dimana di film layar lebarnya Agen 47 adalah agen yang membelot dari tugas utamanya sebagai pembunuh suruhan atau seorang assasin. Kalian akan menghadapi berbagai macam musuh bahkan polisi di Hitman : Absolution karena Agen 47 telah menjadi Buronan incaran Polisi akibat tindak tanduknya sebagai seorang Assasin.
Hitman : Absolution memiliki Genre yang sama dengan Assasin Creed Series dimana mode permainan yang sangatlah mirip walau berbeda zaman dan senjata. Cuman ada beberapa squel yang ada di Assasin Creed Series yang mengunakan senjata sebagai senjata utama.
